FOREST BIOME
Forest biomes cover about 1/3 of the Earth’s surface from the tropics (close to the equator where the climate is warm and wet) to the edges of the Arctic (north of the globe where the climate can be intensely cold).
Forests of the world are determined based on where they are located, what type of climate they require and the kind of trees they include. Forests are classified into three types: Tropical, Temperate and Boreal.
